Wisdom teeth/tooth Extractions

The average person has thirty-two teeth in their mouth. The wisdom teeth or third molars are the last to erupt into the mouth. If these teeth erupt normally and the patient is able to brush them properly, these teeth may be maintained. If, however, the teeth erupt crooked, incompletely or there is evidence of gum disease, we recommend removal of the wisdom teeth between the ages of 15 and 18 years old.
